Baby's getting big, the books tell me. I don't get to actually know for sure until my ultrasound appointment which I have to wait for until September 7th! But until then, I've got to rely on what the books tell me. Baby has an actual weight, and can hear me and Matthew when we talk! Even though it can't tell the difference between my voice and my heartbeat yet, it's still getting to know us in a tiny way.
My food aversions persist, I haven't been able to find anything to eat for breakfast. That's probably the toughest meal of the day for me, trying to figure out what on earth to eat first thing in the morning. Matthew was just the sweetest, he went out and bought me pretty much everything there is in the world for breakfast! Toaster strudels, pop tarts, instant oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, you name it! Although a lot of the time it feels like I really need to force myself to eat, because I quite simply do not want to!
Also, I'm pretty sure I'm going to need some more fibre in my diet. As constipation is a common pregnancy symptom, I am experiencing it ten fold. Again, I don't want to gross anybody out, but if labour pains are anything like THOSE pains, I've gotta say... I don't know if I can take it. Pass the Activia, please!
I've been experiencing a lot of headaches lately too, but I think I found the culprit, and I think its my sports bra. It puts a lot of strain on my neck and shoulders without me even knowing it. I've been trying out life without it for a while and the headaches seem to have subsided, so, excellent news there! Though, nothing provides support like a good sports bra!
My moods have been a little all-over-the-place, I've definitely had a few good laugh-cries in the last week or so. Matt's the perfect guy to have around, perfectly understanding, always just silently listens to the things I'm shouting as if I'm saying them in a calm and reasonable manner.
I take back my previous comment, Matt could definitely rival the supportive nature of a sports bra any day.
