So eating well is great. I'm really enjoying the variety of foods I get to enjoy, and I'm never starving because my goal is healthy, not skinny. I really like the direction its going.
However... healthy, for me, means losing a few pounds. Which I am not doing.
I weighed myself today, and definitely felt discouraged, it's not so nice to see a number the same as it was before, when you've been trying so hard to avoid the junk stuff. Although, it is a bit of a relief that it isn't higher. That means I've stopped the progressive weight gain in its tracks. But do I want to maintain a 15 pounds overweight-weight forever?
What I've concluded is that its time to start incorporating exercise into the regimen. The books I've been reading say that 30 minutes a day is a goal I should shoot for. And that 30 minutes should consist of: cardio, strength training, and stretching. So, as I see it, that shouldn't be too hard at all. I've got an elliptical for the cardio, a weight bench for the strength, and stretches are fun anyway! As I see it, this should be a great start for me, and maybe one day once I'm used to it I can start upping the time a little bit.
So as of... tomorrow... tehe... I'm going to start incorporating half an hour of exercise time each day. The benefits of exercise on an unborn child are huge! So if I can find a routine now, it should be no trouble at all continuing straight into a pregnancy.
Now, just to find the motivation to get up on that machine...
