We went to see the doctor on May 25th, who was an extremely nice man named Dr. Macek (who speaks English, which I'm sorry, but is a total plus for me) at the Stonewall Medical Clinic. I told him why we'd come, and he gave us a lab sheet to get some blood work done.
The following week on May 31st I went in to get some blood taken (and got a very nice nurse who really seemed to know what she was doing) and then saw the doctor again today, who gave us the very excellent news that we are in fact clinically pregnant!
You know, because pregnancy test or not, you still need the doctor to tell you that you really really are. It's just too good to believe otherwise.
We asked all of our questions and he congratulated us from the bottom of his heart! He had me step up on the scale, and asked me a bunch of questions, and told me to go out and buy some prenatal vitamins (way ahead of him there!) So we made another appointment for a month later, and were on our way!
What a very grown up day today turned out to be.
This is really real! It's really happening! Now I just wait and see what the next couple of months have in store for me, and see if I can actually keep it a secret until that three month marker is up!
